Our story

Milagro Tacos Cantina is the work of award-winning Dallas chef Jesús Carmona.

"Milagro" means "miracle" — a name that speaks to Carmona's changing fortunes. After both Tacos Mariachi locations shut, he found that miracle in the chance to open a new spot two blocks from the original, just across from Trinity Groves. The space is filled with bright colors and décor designed to make you feel like you've just stepped into a local taqueria in Mexico.

What sets the food apart is the pairing of technique and tradition. Chef Carmona brings his classic French culinary training to Tijuana-style street tacos.

The restaurant recently underwent an upgrade, transforming into a bright, full-service restaurant with a bar.

The expanded menu adds shareable plates like queso birria empanadas, creative tacos, enchiladas, fajitas, and specialty entrées — plus a weekend brunch with huevos rancheros, chilaquiles, and breakfast tacos.

And every fall, Carmona is a mainstay at the State Fair of Texas, where he pushes gallons of mole-drenched fries.

UNREAL. Some of the best fajitas I’ve had in a while. Amazing flavor profiles, atmosphere is cozy, fun and relaxed. The drinks are top notch and just a wonderful staff. I was too busy enjoying the meal to take photos but everything looked amazing. I’ll be returning. that’s for sure!

Wow, talk about finding the hidden taco place with authentic Mexican food from Mexico city.
The chips were crunchy and perfect with the queso / sauce. Fajitas were the bomb, chicken was super tender and flavorful.
I also got a carne asada taco and the meat was the best I've tasted in a minute, no gristle!!
Definitely make it here. They also do octopus tacos for my next visit!
